War game ads in a cake game for little kids
This game is developed on a level for pre-school aged children, which begs the question, "Why multiple war game and first person shooter game ads at every level of play?" I might understand targeting ads that would appeal to small children, but some of these ads are disturbing even when viewed by an adult. And there are MANY OF THEM. So minus two stars for inappropriate ad content in a child's game. Then there is the problem of no settings or controls for the game or "parent" controls which many better kids games have. Why is this important? Well there one great reason. It would be great if the sounds of the insipid, annoying, brain melting, same four bars of "music" could be turned OFF or substituted for something less akin to Chinese water torture played on a toy piano. So minus another star for lack of content control. The child I d/l'ed this game for loves the cake factory game play, but even a four year old knows that six or seven war and shooter game ads for every cake making experience is over the top and even she get tired of the plinkie plink sameness of the unnecessary sound track. Passable idea, badly executed and could have been so much better. I recall a Microsoft cake baking game she was playing at two years of age that "got it". A cake factory game that made more that one layer cake in a game session, with many options for what and how to play, turn on or off game elements and accumulate points. NONE OF THESE FEATURES ARE IN THIS CAKE FACTORY GAME. We will keep looking for better, but this and so, so many of these games look alike, play alike, are burdened with tons of ads and no controls for content. A quality game with these features could make a fortune.
